@ anon who asked about how I made the glitch text. Here’s what I did:
I first opened a new file (I just named it background ‘cause I didn’t know what else to XP):
I then typed in the quote/word:
If it’s necessary, I’ll crop it smaller (keeping the length the same):
I
the copy the background as a new layer, twice, merge the text with one
of the layers, fill the other one with black and hide it:
When that is done I go to the layer where the text is, go the the ‘channels‘ tab and CTRL+click on the ‘red‘ channel
I then make 3 new transparent layers named R, G, B. Preferably in this order:
Then I fill each transparent layer (with the red channel still selected) with the corresponding colours:
^ for the R transparent layer
^ for the G transparent layer
^ for the B transparent layer
Once you have all these done, you can deselect and delete the layer which had the text. It should then look like this:
You can then make the black layer visible, then it should look like this again:
Then go to the blue layer, go to the blending options and choose lighten:
Do this with the red and green layer as well or just copy the layer’s style and paste it to them.
After you’ve done that it should look like this:
Then go to the blue layer and use CTRL+T to move the layer either slightly to the left or right (I prefer left):
You can just use the brush tool to get rid of that yellow that’ll show up on the right
When that’s done, you can merge the coloured layers into the black layer that the layers menu looks like this:
Then I glitch up the text, making the going in the opposite directions of each other:
I then use PhotoScape (which is free) to turn this into a GIF. I keep the unglitched version on a playspeed of one second and both glitched versions on .10:
Of
course you can set the glitched versions to .09-.0whatever depending on
how glitched up the text is but I wouldn’t recommend anything under
.07.
The final thing should look like this:
Welp, this is a pretty long post XD Hopefully this helped answer your question 🙂
