If my son or daughter was ever to sit me down and break their hearts to tell me they’re dating someone of the same sex, the first thing I would do is apologize. I would apologies for the fact that they felt the need to have to do this, instead of being able to bring home their boyfriend/girlfriend and be like “mom this is who I’m dating”.
